so, fac dance competition! we didn't win.
yes it's disappointing. we all want the "winner of the 2008 faculty dance competition" to be apollo, don't we? but fact is, it isn't.
but then again, the fact is, we all had fun! dancing and jumping around in the central plaza, shouting "get down hit the floor" at the top of our lungs, feeling the bright yellow apollo spirit oozing out from every pore of every apolloian, that's a once-in-a-lifetime experience which we all enjoyed (well at least i know i did).
i think our dance was great, superb, awesome. and dancing it together as a faculty, the feeling is just indescribable. fac dance was the only dance i enjoyed doing. dance and i just don't mix (i think you all know it by now), but yeah, i actually
enjoyed fac dance. don't you just feel hyper when turning around and doing that rotating-arm-above/around-head thing and raising the bullboy sign? and even more hyper still when people around you wearing bright yellow too are doing the same?
yup anyway, i think our dance rocks, no matter if we did win or not. because like they all say, victory is just a cherry atop the icecream (or something like that). if we did win, it will definitely be a bonus. but what's most important is that we enjoyed the icecream, the main thing - the cherry is merely there for decorative purposes. and at the end of the day, what matters most isn't the cherry decoration but the pleasure we derived from the icecream, which i'm sure many of us did (:
so let's congratulate our dance ics and the fac comm members for a job well done! it's the last event they are organizing, and we all enjoyed it (((:
